Sir Topham Hatt, the Fat Controller, needs your help at Minehead Station on Saturday 3rd or Sunday 4th July. Travel down in a train behind one of Thomas’s friends, from Bishop’s Lydeard (near Taunton) to Minehead.

Buy your ticket in advance to reserve your seats on the morning trains. Look out for things on the way down: there will be extra staff on the train to answer your questions and point things out. On the way you will pass the engine works at Williton and you will see Percy shunting trucks at Washford. On the way down you will also receive your special Thomas and Friends Junior Engineers certificate whilst at Minehead give-away stickers are new for 2010

Thomas and his Friends will be at Minehead. Sir Topham will be there and is always having some trouble with Thomas and his Friends. He needs your help to keep the trains running on time. George the Steam Roller has been brought in to help too. Daisy the Diesel and many others will be there. There will be lots of things to do and watch, including FREE face painting, games and video shows.

Mrs Kyndley will be serving refreshments, there will be free rides behind Thomas or one of his friends and you can watch engines being turned on the turntable. The Troublesome Trucks will be being shunted. The Buffer Stop Shop will be open throughout the weekend.

Free vintage bus rides through Minehead 10.30am to 5.00pm.
Free parking at Bishops Lydeard station.

Timetable Notes

Advance bookings are essential and the first three trains from Bishops Lydeard (Gordon's & Henry's train and the Sodor Express) are pre-booked only due to the high demand. You may return from Minehead on any train.

Prices

For a return trip on the first three trains from Bishops Lydeard (Gordon's & Henry's train and the Sodor Express) is £18.00 for adults, £9.00 for children (2 - 15) and seniors are £16.00. A Family Ticket is £47.00 and all the above are pre booked only. Trains after the Sodor Express at 11.10 are £17.00 for adults, £8.50 for children (2-15) and Seniors are £15.00. A Family Ticket is £44.00.

You can visit the attractions on Minehead station and a platform ticket is available only on the day. Adults are prices £5.00, Children are £3.00 and children under two are free. All Thomas entertainment is included as well as a ride behind Thomas!

Gordon's Train, Henry’s trains and the Sodor Express are full on both the Saturday and Sunday Day Out With Thomas event.

The pace of advance bookings for the visit of the little blue engine and his friends to the WSR for this year is beginning to pick up and already we have sold out “Henry’s” train (the 10.25 from Bishops Lydeard) on both days.
