The Santa Express

Santa and Friend on the Santa Express

The Santa Express is slightly different to our traditional Santa Steam Specials. Instead of arriving at Santa’s Grotto and queuing to see him you will be visited by Santa whilst on the train. The Santa Express will travel from Bishops Lydeard toWilliton and return. The prices and dates are listed below.

The trains will all depart from Bishops Lydeard on the dates above. The times for these trains will be:10.10 12.20 and 14.35.
All fares are inclusive return fares and cover travel, mince pies and seasonal refreshments for the adults and presents for the children. There is a buffet coach on all our trains, serving a good range of high quality locally produced hot and cold food, tea and coffee and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Why not take a train ride this Christmas to meet Santa at his grotto. The trip consists of taking a train ride from Bishops Lydeard to Crowcombe Heathfield or from Minehead to Blue Anchor to meet Santa. At the station grotto each child will receive a present and, once every child has visited Santa and returned to the train, the return journey will begin.

WIN TICKETS TO THE 2010 SANTA EVENT!
Every year the West Somerset Railway hold a Santa Competition and we look for the best photographs that have been taken to place in our 2009 Santa leaflet. Just think your child could be almost famous and on the front cover of next years leaflet. To enter please send in any photographs that you think should go in our leaflet to the address on the front of this leaflet. The photographs must have been taken on the 2009 Santa specials on the West Somerset Railway. Closing date for entries 31st May 2010.
