We are offering journeys from Bishops Lydeard to Watchet with Fish and Chips or Travel only from Bishops Lydeard to Blue Anchor.
Take the steam service from Bishops Lydeard at 12 35 meander through the Quantock Hills behind a heritage steam locomotive taking in the breath taking scenery.
You have a variety of ticket options on this service, you can either travel to Watchet with the fish and chip option. Upon arrival in Watchet you may get off the train and you will have an hour and forty five minutes to explore the town, shops, cafes, and take a look at the working marina. Your return trip back to Bishops Lydeard will depart Watchet Station at 15:00.
Alternatively, take the Coastal service from Bishops Lydeard to the seaside village of Blue Anchor, where you will have an hour to explore the beach, tickets for this service will be travel only.
Your return service will depart Blue Anchor Station at 14:40.

Upon booking your tickets, these options will appear in a tick box format. Please select one menu option for each person travelling.
Please note that dogs are not permitted in coaches where fish and chips are being served.
Please note that for all our services this year, tables of 4 and tables of 2 will be in separate coaches, it is therefore only possible to travel in groups of 6 within a compartment. As catering is only provided for tables of 2 and tables of 4 please note that if purchasing one of each, a table of 4 will be in a separate carriage to those who hold a ticket for a table for two, due to social distancing.

If you require your tickets to be printed by us, and posted out to you or sent to a station for collection, there will be an administration fee of £2.00 for this service.

Please note that terms and conditions may change due to Government advice nearer the time. We will update the website with any changes as soon as they are received. Those that have purchased a ticket will be contacted via email with changes to any information.
Seating will be assigned to you one week before you travel, this will be sent via email. It will highlight which coach you will be sat in, and which compartment or table has been reserved for you.
Tickets will be sold in tables of 2, tables of 4 and compartments of 6.
Social distancing will be in place and seating will be arranged with the required distance between each table in line with government advice.
All passengers purchasing Fish and Chips tickets to Watchet will be sat in the designated carriages for this service, therefore it will not be possible to seat Travel only ticket holders in these coaches.
Please ensure you book the right tickets, only tickets marked "including Fish and Chips" will receive this catering option.
The Fish and Chip offer will only be served in carriages where we have the provisions for tables of 4 and tables of 2, it will not be possible to purchase this option for compartments of 6.

The Excursion for those travelling to Watchet with Fish and Chips is as follows: Depart Bishops Lydeard at 12:35 arrive in Watchet at 13:15 where you will be permitted to leave the service and explore the town,your return service will depart Watchet Station at 15:03 and will arrive back in Bishops Lydeard at 15:45.
The Excursion for those travelling to Blue Anchor is as follows: Depart Bishops Lydeard at 12:35 arrive in Blue Anchor at 13:40 where you will be permitted to leave the service and explore, your return service will depart Blue Anchor Station at 14:40 and will arrive back in Bishops Lydeard at 15:45.
It is vital that we have your personal details for track and trace, please ensure that you complete all fields to assist us with this when booking your tickets.
It is compulsory to wear a mask when in communal spaces on the railway, therefore you must wear a mask in line with government advice on site and on the train. We ask that children also wear a mask if possible.
Please ensure you follow all guidance whilst on site, this is there for your safety. We will have one-way systems in place and plenty of staff to advise you if you are not sure what to do.
In the event that we cancel the service due to unforeseen circumstances or due to the effects of coronavirus, you will be contacted and offered options regarding your ticket. These will include ticket transfers, donations, and refunds.
In the event that you or a family member of the same household is symptomatic of Covid, or you have received a positive test for Covid you must isolate in line with Government advice, you must not travel and can cancel your tickets, we will only be able to issue a refund if we are able to resell your tickets, in the event where we cannot resell your tickets, we will offer a voucher to be used on our services next year. Please ensure that you cancel your tickets as soon as possible by ringing us on 01643 704996.
