A touch of Hollywood glamour is set to visit the West Somerset Railway with a new black-tie dining experience.

For one night only this year, board the Quantock Belle dining train, departing Bishops Lydeard at 19.00 , and enjoy a 6-course gourmet meal prepared by three superbly talented Somerset based chefs.

Experience local seasonal cuisine with ingredients sourced locally from the Claire’s Kitchen Garden (where possible).

  • Claire from Claire's Kitchen
  • Justin from Reeves Restaurant Dunster, Former Somerset Life Chef of the Year
  • John Bradley from award winning Dunkery Beacon Hotel

Ticketing Explained

We offer tables of two and tables of four through our website. As table space is limited and we have many couples travelling with us there is a £10 premium to reserve a guaranteed table for two. The £10 premium has automatically been applied to the table of two option. If there are two in your party and you are happy with the possibility of sharing a table of four with another couple, please contact us by phone on 01643 700398 and the £10 premium will not be included.  

It is not possible to book one or three tickets through our website, to purchase one of these options please phone us on 01643 700398 where we will be able to assist you. 




Steamed Minehead Bay seabass, potato and sorrel salad, salmon caviar and kale crisps, or

(V) Duo of roasted organic butternut squash and beetroot potage finished with sour cream and toasted pumpkin seeds.


Sorbet course: Dunster Elderberry and Wicked Wolf gin 


Vietnamese poached duck leg, pak choi and Szechuan soba noodles, pineapple, cucumber salad (this is aromatic not spicy) or 

(V) Sweet Potato in a Vietnamese broth, pak choi and Szeuchuan soba noodles, pineapple, cucumber salad (this is aromatic not spicy)


Stawley goats cheese or Isle of Wight cheese
