By popular demand, our Carol Trains return for Christmas 2023!!
The Carol Train meanders through the Somerset countryside, steaming through the cold December evening from Bishops Lydeard OR Minehead at 18.30 and travels to Williton.
The service stops at each station on the way where you can alight and accompany the band singing popular Christmas carols.
This enjoyable event really ignites the festive cheer and is one not to be missed.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT TICKETS FOR YOUR START STATION EITHER MINEHEAD OR BISHOPS LYDEARD.
Enhance your visit by ordering a hamper for two or cookie and hot chocolate which can be collected from the marquee on arrival at Bishops Lydeard or from the cafe at Minehead.
The Hamper for two includes Festive sandwiches, crisps, christmas cake, 1 person bottle of festive ale, 1 person bottle of festive wine and an additoonal festive treat.

The Carol Train service starts at either BISHOPS LYDEARD or MINEHEAD you must purchase the ticket for your relevant start station this is indicated in teh description along side the date and time above.
Your ticket will be valid on the time and date stated only, it will not be possible to provide an alternative arrangement for those that arrive late, or arrive at the wrong station.
BEFORE THE DATE OF TRAVEL
If you have any requirements such as disabled access, please call us on 01643 704996 at your earliest convenience to discuss how we can ensure you have all the information you need to enjoy your visit. Please note disabled access is limited, we therefore will require as much notice as possible for additional requirements.
UPON ARRIVAL
From Bishops Lydeard:
Please report to the welcome marquee on arrival no later than 30 minutes before your train is due to depart. This is where you will sign in.
If you are wanting to sit with another group, please ensure you arrive together or meet in the marquee to board the train together. Seats are not allocated
From Minehead
Please report to the train crew upon arrival. If you ahve purchased hot choloated and a cookie or a hamper for two please collect these from the cafe.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE EVENT
From Bishops Lydeard or Minehead, the train will travel to Williton station and stop at each station along the way.
You should be back at your start station for roughly 21.25 however this may be slightly later due to the number of carols being sung.
