ALL DAY BREAKFASTS ON THE MOVE DURING THE WEST SOMERSET RAILWAY’S AUTUMN STEAM GALA

Although it is normally the case that passengers have to pre-book seats on the “Quantock Belle” dining train on the West Somerset Railway it  will be offering a “turn-up and pay on the day” meal service on Saturday October 7^th and Sunday October 8^th.  This is the weekend of the WSR’s Autumn Steam Gala event and there will be an all-day breakfast service in the “QB” coaches on the following trains on Saturday 7^th:- the 09.00 and 12.39 from Bishops Lydeard and the 10.30 and 14.10 from Minehead. On Sunday 8^th the timings are the 09.40 from Bishops Lydeard, the 12.20 from Minehead and the 14.10 from Bishops Lydeard.

The cafes at Minehead and Bishops Lydeard stations will be open on all four days of the Gala, October 5^th to 8^th and there will be licensed buffet cars on most trains during the event. Light refreshments are available at all stations except Doniford Halt including some home made offerings and if the weather is kind cream teas can be enjoyed in the gardens at Stogumber station.
