Volunteer stewards required on Minehead station for Antiques Roadshow

You may have seen in the local press that the BBC are bringing one of their flagship programmes, the Antiques Road Show, to Minehead's Railway Station on Wednesday 17th May this year. The West Somerset Railway is already making plans for this event, a real showcase for both the Railway and Minehead.

One of the main requirements for the event is the availability of Stewards. Might you be interested in being one of the many Stewards needed? More details of the requirement will become apparent around the Easter period but in the meantime Stewards must be:

  • 1. Over the age of 18
  • 2. Accept a mandatory commitment to attending the 1.5 hour briefing on Tuesday 16th May and commit a full day of filming from 0830 to 1730 on 17th May. Filming may well continue until 1900 and it will be helpful if some volunteers are willing to stay on.
  • 3. Be prepared to be on your feet for most of the day – Tea/coffee and refreshment breaks will be organised on a rotation basis.

If you are interested in volunteering for this very special "Minehead" day, please contact the Railway's Head of Commercial Services, Colin Howard either on 01643 700383 or [email protected]
