West Somerset Railway Christmas services starting this weekend!

The West Somerset Railway Christmas Programme starts this weekend. 

Santa will welcome pre booked passengers onto the Santa Express, between Bishops Lydeard and Williton this Saturday and Sunday. Santa will visit each child at theior seat offering an age appropriate gift to each young traveller. Not fear grown ups, you won't miss out, as a festive drink and mince pie will be offered to you. Entertainment will be on board all our services. We have enhanced this years experience by adding a welcome marquee at Bishops Lydeard, offering our visitors shelter from the cold and igniting the festive atmosphere beofre you depart the station. 

On Saturday, we also have the Minehead Station Christmas Market taking place, along with Minehead Gateways Christmas Festival which will be held in the avenue. A connecting DMU service will be running between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead for pre booked passengers, tickets for this are selling fast so please do book as quick as possible to avoid dissapointment. Minehead Station will see stalls lining its platform offering local produce from cheese to Sheepskin rugs. The Turntable cafe on Minehead Station will also be open, offering Turkey rolls and seasonal fayre. The Buffer Stop Shop has some fantastic products to give as gifts so pop on down and have a look.
