We have recently collaborated with myhotelbreak and we asked them why their guests enjoy visiting West Somerset Railway. You can read the article below:
It’s hard to find stand out attractions that live long in the memory that don’t just offer a fun day out but offer a real unique family experience. We highly recommend enjoying what’s on offer at the West Somerset Railway.
Let’s find out more
For a truly fantastic day out, the West Somerset Railway ticks all the boxes. The railway is a nostalgic experience that is a branch line of the old Great Western Railway. There’s a lot on offer here such as the chance to take a ride through the scenic countryside or take time out and study the history of the railway and its industrial heritage.
You’ll be taken on a journey by the historic steam locomotives around the ten unique stations that span a twenty mile journey along the surrounding countryside.
Immerse yourself in the nearby surroundings as you get to gaze into the quaint and relaxing Quantock hills and further afield to Exmoor. Discover the farms nestled in quiet and leafy lanes, the unspoilt villages and the coast of the Bristol Channel and the views of the far away South Wales. The likes of Dunster’s Castle, Church Towers and Minehead’s seaside charm are all awaiting you.
