Step aboard for an unforgettable new adventure arriving in 2026. Ticket to Nowhere is an immersive escape room experience set inside beautifully restored heritage railway carriages, where mystery and intrigue await around every corner.
The train may be standing still, but something extraordinary has happened. Passengers have vanished without explanation, leaving behind only scattered clues and unanswered questions. As members of the investigation team, you and your fellow players must search the carriages, unravel hidden secrets, solve challenging puzzles, and piece together the truth behind the disappearances.
With atmospheric surroundings and a story that will keep you guessing until the very end, Ticket to Nowhere offers a thrilling experience for families, friends, and teams looking for a unique challenge.
Will you uncover what happened before time runs out, or will the mystery remain unsolved?
Gather your team of detectives and prepare to board. Teams can consist of 2 to 8 players, making it the perfect adventure for couples, families, friends, and group outings.

Please note: There are currently roadworks taking place on the A358 in Taunton - there is a diversion in place heading towards Bishops Lydeard. Therefore, please allow extra time for your journey. A one way single lane closure will be in operation between Silk Mills Roundabout and Manor Road junction for a scheduled 12 week programme between 20th July and October 2026. Traffic will be allowed to access Taunton via the A358 from the Minehead direction. Traffic leaving Taunton towards the west will be directed via Wellington Road (A38) and Silk Mills Road (A3065). The escape room will take place at Bishops Lydeard Station at the West Somerset Railway.
There is a free car park at Bishops Lydeard Station. Toilets are located next to the car park.
If you arrive early, it is advisable to wait in your car until 10 minutes before the time on your ticket, as we do not wish for you to see any spoilers!
10 minutes before your start time please make your way to the the shop on the platform where you can check in.
There will be a short briefing before your game starts.
Your game will start at the time printed on your ticket, if you are late, then the amount of time you are late will be deducted from your hour time slot.
Please dress according to the weather, in summer it may be hot in the carriages, similarly in winter it may be cold, so please do prepare.
We will have light refreshments available in the cafe to purchase on the day however we ask that food and drink (except a bottle of water) should not be take on board the carriages.
Terms and Conditions:
1. Please note the lead booker must be 18+ and must play the game.
2. Cancellation: if you wish to cancel your Escape Room we do not offer any refunds.
3. Please ensure you arrive no later than 10 minutes before your game is due to start.
4. Late arrivals of up to 10 minutes will get their game shortened. Late arrivals of more than 10 minutes may get their game cancelled without a refund.
5. Minimum players 2, maximum Players 8.
6. Participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol when taking part in the game. We reserve the right to refuse play to anyone showing signs of being under the influence.
7. West Somerset Railway has a no smoking policy including the use of E-Cigarettes.
8. Damage to props will be charged to the lead booker.
9. Game duration 60 minutes.
10. You are playing at your own risk, West Somerset Railway will not be liable for injury to persons or damage caused to property.
11. The game is not recommended for people with epilepsy, heart conditions, claustrophobia, or severe anxiety.
12. This is a game in static carriages and no travel is included.
