Celebrate the festive season in style with an unforgettable journey aboard the Quantock Belle, the West Somerset Railway's Luxury Dining Train.

Sit back and relax in beautifully restored heritage carriages as you enjoy a sumptuous four-course Christmas dining experience, expertly prepared by our Quantock Belle Chef, Sam le Roux. As you dine, take in the breathtaking winter scenery of the Somerset countryside, travelling through the stunning landscapes of the Quantock Hills between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead.

Whether you're planning a festive get-together with friends, a special family celebration, or a romantic Christmas treat, the Quantock Belle offers the perfect setting to make lasting seasonal memories.

Please note that on 29th November, the Quantock Belle will travel from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead in conjunction with our Minehead Station Christmas Market.

A Festive Feast on the Rails

Your carefully crafted four-course meal will be served at your table throughout the journey, allowing you to savour every course while enjoying the ever-changing views from your window seat.

Dessert is served on the return journey to Bishops Lydeard and is accompanied by our complimentary, continuous tea and coffee service, providing the perfect ending to a truly indulgent day out.

Starter:

Option 1: Chicken liver pate with beetroot and orange and melba toast. 

Option 2: Brie and red onion chutney in puff pastry with honey dressing. 

Mains: 

Option 1: Roast Turkey, Pigs in Blankets, Dauphinoise Potato Stack, Cranberry Jelly with Seasonal Vegetables. 

Option 2: Squash and Beetroot Wellington with Dauphinoise Potato Stack and Seasonal Vegetables. 

Dessert: 

Option 1: Christmas Pudding

Dietary Requirements

Seating Information

Tickets are available as individual seats or as a Guaranteed Table for Two, perfect for couples looking to enjoy a more private dining experience. The Guaranteed Table for Two ticket includes a £15 supplement this ticket covers 2 people.

Groups of four wishing to sit together should book four individual tickets. Please note that parties booking fewer than four individual seats may be seated alongside other guests.

Special Carol Train Dates

Passengers travelling on the evenings of 5th, 12th and 19th December will enjoy an extra touch of Christmas magic, as the Quantock Belle will be attached to our popular Carol Train.

The train will travel between Bishops Lydeard and Williton, stopping at stations along the route where Carol Train passengers will disembark to join a live brass band for traditional Christmas carols. From the comfort of your First-Class seat, you'll be able to enjoy the music and festive atmosphere, with carol sheets provided should you wish to sing along.

Accessibility & Important Information

Due to the heritage nature of our historic dining carriages, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate wheelchairs or mobility scooters on this service. If you have any accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking on 01643 704996 and we will be happy to discuss your needs.

Only assistance dogs are permitted aboard this service. Please advise us in advance when booking if you will be travelling with an assistance dog.

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure to allow plenty of time to board, settle into your seat, and begin your festive experience in comfort.

The Quantock Belle operates using two heritage First-Class dining carriages. Seating allocations are generated automatically and, while we will always do our best to accommodate requests, specific seating preferences cannot be guaranteed.

Ticket Terms and Conditions

Please note: Passengers travelling on the evenings of 5th, 12th and 19th December will enjoy an extra touch of Christmas magic, as the Quantock Belle will be attached to our popular Carol Train. The train will travel between Bishops Lydeard and Williton only.

1. This ticket is issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of the West Somerset Railway PLC. Full details are available on request.

2. Please check your tickets as mistakes cannot be rectified.

3. It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain whether a service has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged service. If a service is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation once we have received the relevant authorisation from the West Somerset Railway PLC. Please note that we cannot guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before the date of travel.

4. The management reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of the West Somerset Railway PLC. The management may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.

5. A £5 administration fee per booking will be charged for any subsequent booking alterations - this means administration changes. We are unable to make date changes to your booking. No refunds will be given once tickets are issued. The Management cannot be held responsible for any tickets which are lost or stolen. West Somerset Railway PLC reserves the right to cancel ticket bookings which it reasonably suspects to have been made fraudulently.

6. The West Somerset Railway PLC operates a No Smoking policy this includes e-cigarettes.

7. The unauthorized use of photographic and recording equipment for public use is prohibited.

8. The West Somerset Railway PLC accepts no responsibility for any personal property.

9. Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as visitors.

10. If a service is rescheduled, ticket holders will be offered tickets to the rescheduled service, equivalent to the face value of the ticket. If a service is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered travel on an alternative service (subject to availability) up to the value on the ticket.

11. Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee a seat unless otherwise stated.

12. All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law.

13. The ticket holder must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and West Somerset Railway PLC regulations whilst visiting the railway.

14. Breach of any of these conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the railway to refuse to carry you as a passenger.

15. Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number.
