Two full round trips from either Minehead to Bishops Lydeard (20 miles) or Bishops Lydeard to Minehead hauling empty coaches. Participants are required to have taken part in a bronze stage course before being permitted onto the gold course. This is so you have all the necessary knowledge required for you to enjoy your day.
on 15th June the day will start at 7.00 at Bishops Lydeard on 18th September your day will start at 7.00 at Minehead.
Starting at 7.00 you will take part in prepping the engine and have one trip on the footplate and the other travelling in the train. 4 participants are taken on the 20 miles each way for two round trips on the line.
The cost of the course also includes lunch and refreshments.
You must be 18 years+ to take part in the Steam Engineman Courses.
We will need to have confirmation that you have first carried out a bronze stage or an old style stage one course for you to take part in this course, therefore we may be in touch for you to provide a copy of your certificate for completing these courses which can be sent in by email.
